Privacy notice

What we collect. Two things. Analytics data about how pages are used — pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referring site — in aggregate, and whatever you type into our contact form if you choose to write to us.

What we do not collect. We do not ask for financial information, identity documents, or account credentials, and we have no reason to. Nobody at Cassandy Ventures should ever ask you for them; if a message claiming to come from us does, it did not.

Why we hold it. Analytics tells us which entries are read and which are ignored, which is how we decide what to revise. Contact messages are held so we can reply and, where you have sent a correction, so we can act on it.

Who else sees it. Our hosting provider and our analytics provider, as processors. We do not sell personal information and never have. We do not share contact messages with operators.

Links to operators. Following a link to an operator takes you under their privacy notice, not ours. Operators may set their own cookies and may record that the visit came from us, for commission purposes.

How long we keep it. Analytics in aggregate for twenty-six months. Contact correspondence for twenty-four months after the exchange ends, unless it records a ledger correction, in which case we keep the correction and discard the message.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to processing. Write to us and we will respond within thirty days. We will not charge you and we will not make the site worse for you for having asked.

Children. This site is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors and will delete any that reaches us.

Security. The site is served over HTTPS and access to correspondence is limited to the people who answer it. No transmission is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise.

Changes. Revisions appear here with a new date at the top of this entry.
